Our Family Business Tree

Starting back in 1983, founders Jim & Jan Everett's motto has always been

"people equal the company". 

Not only do Jim and Jan's direct family The Everett's, Burke's and Sander's work for the companies, so do a number of famlies from the Lehighton and Palmerton area.

We pride ourselves in being able to employee people of our community. For many, working at  Ashley Homestore / Country Junction is the first job they get.

Humble Beginnings circa 1983

Imagine a company that adds something new every time a customer asks for it.  That's basically how,  we, a company called The Service Team, became Country Junction, "World's Largest General Store".

We started out installing insulation.  Then our customers began asking us for hardware, so we added hardware and became a home center.  The customers started asking us for lawn and garden items, so we added a barn and began to sell lawn and garden products.  Then we added small gift, and  home decor items.

We changed our name because our customers were telling us that we had everything under the sun for their homes;  we added furniture and bigger home accessories. We opened our Ashley Homestores in Quakertown and Hazleton, PA in 1999. Soon after we opened our Wilkes-barre and Wind gap, PA locations. In 2014 we opened our newest store in Whitehall, PA. 

We are proud to boast that we are one of the first licensees to open and operate Ashley Homestores.
